National Beer Day celebrates April 7, 1933, as the day when it once again became legal to sell beer in the United States, after Franklin Roosevelt signed the Cullen-Harrison Act, undoing a portion of the Volstead Act.
Upon signing the act FDR remarked: “I think this would be a good time for a beer.”
